Cole F. Watson

Biography

I was born at a very early age…

Husband of Kelsey Watson. Father of Christopher and Everett. Son of Carl and Kim Watson.

Reader. Writer. Teacher. Friend. Businessman. Investor. Attorney.

Purpose

After graduating with a B.A. in Philosophy, I began working in a public school before attending law school. Although I did not have the term “Cultural Marxist Paideia” (thank you, Pete Hegseth and David Goodwin), I could tell something was amiss in the public school system. After graduating law school, I moved my family to Abilene, Texas to begin practicing law. During my time as an attorney, I learned about CCE and knew that the Lord was calling me to help mentor and teach the next generation of Kingdom Builders. After several discussions with the leadership team at Abilene Classical Academy (Abilene, TX), the editorial team at The Classical Difference, and learning more about CCE pedagogy from Dr. Louis Markos, I believe that Rise & Build Academy will provide students with a unique opportunity to apply their ongoing education in a practical matter.

Tidbits

Collector of ISBN-less books; resident college football expert (hook ’em horns); coffee brewing as an art/science; music that evokes nostalgia, deep thinking (post-rock), worship; Rubik’s cube; startups and venture capital; movies that don’t have to address the “cell phone” issue; theological/philosophical discussions; horticulture; raising boys to become good, strong, and powerful men who fear the Lord, love their families, and raise their boys to carry the fire.

Value is in the present progressive: cooking, feasting, conversating, ruminating, investing, creating, developing, painting, wrestling, bedtime-story-telling, hiking, weight lifting, chess.com-ing (@cfwatson).

Iowa Park, TX –> Austin, TX –> Seattle, WA –> Dallas, TX –> Ft. Worth, TX –> Abilene, TX –> Iowa Park, TX (but, of course, you can go home again)
